Case study
Studio Mood: a behind-the-scenes film that tells as much as the ad
A day immersed on the set of the Entreprises du Voyage commercial shoot, with the Studio Mood crew.
The need
A commercial shoot mobilises a whole crew for hours to produce a few dozen seconds on screen. Everything happening around it, the preparation, the moments between takes, the machinery of a production coming together, disappears. Studio Mood wanted to keep a trace of that energy: a behind-the-scenes film showing the crew's craft in a way the finished product cannot.
The difficulty of the format
On a set, the absolute priority is the main production. A behind-the-scenes film is made without interrupting anything, without directing anyone, without taking the main camera's place. The whole job is to be forgotten: it is when nobody is paying attention to you any more that the real moments happen.
What the client says
“Raphaël knew how to make himself forgotten on set, and caught the real moments.”
